I could start writing all these entries all hidden behind symbolism or excessive verbage but I just can't seem to do it. I think there's something wrong with 'obscurity through verbosity'. If you want complexity, you'll have to listen to my music. My esteem of the written word has dwindled as of late. Maybe I just need to read something good! In fact, I know that's true...I'm just being close-minded in one area so i can be open minded in another area:
The band has been good - we keep getting offers to play at more and more diverse places.. There's a bit of internal drama as we figure out how exactly we are to go on writing songs. It's silly to say this, because it seems like common sense, but we all have to be happy with everything!
My relationship is good. I find myself taking it for granted sometimes and for that I am a jackass! She's really sweet and would do anything for me. we spend all of our free time together and i like it. she gets along with my friends. we have fun together! we enjoy the same activities and have gone on some fun adventures! she always gets so excited to be around me! if this is the case, why am i so 'ok then' about it? I should be all 'WOAH WOAH WOAH" about it. I think it's basically that I have done a good job of going from bright-eyed optimism to jaded realist since I have moved here. It'll just take some time to get over that, and it's happening already. i'm getting more excited ;)
in august/september our lease is up. That's kind of depressing because i love Denis and Jenny and Zipper. and the area that I am living in, etc...at the same time, I was a fool to live in Boca with my current income. So I think a solid plan is to move back in with my parents, pay off my debts (not too much but significant nonetheless). That will take about 2 months. Then...Michelle wants to go to Massachusetts with me! I didn't make that suggestion either...she did! I can think of about 100 fun things to do right off the bat. Anyhow, ta-ta.
If you are interested, skyscraper has a lot of shows coming up. I think the 3rd, the 4th, and the 9th are the next three shows. I'll make sure the site is updated with info about these shows soon, so click that link. We also have some new recordings from the wallflower show, so we'll try to get those onto the site soon too.
