Well, I slept a lot yesterday. didn't go to work. anyhow, it allowed me the comfort to waddle around in my own dreams and travel through them as i may. it was a welcome respite from all these shitty headaches that i can't seem to quell. i'm starting to get really beyond angry, because the headaches are definitely cramping my social style. i rarely go out, i spend as much time as i can trying to eat and sleep; it's just stupid. anyhow, enough of that crap.

so i had a bunch of interleaving dreams, with themes that have continued from past dreams. there's this recurring theme of ... i guess this really weird museum-type place in my old high school up north. it was weird because it was built by an eccentric, and he did a bunch of crazy stuff in some of the rooms, like hide speakers to make weird sounds all around you or to create trick perspectives with sloping walls, ceilings, and floors. there's also interesting symbols and pieces of art with what seems like hidden meaning on the walls, also tricky lighting, that seems like it's trying to direct your attention. anyhow, of course there was never any such place in my high school; however, the dreams started when i was in high school. back then, i dreamed i had to do a report about this 'museum' of sorts. over time i find myself returning and usually bringing some friends along and we explore the place and do a bunch of humming and hawwing.

i do believe my description of the rooms is getting more detailed as i dream about them, especially since this most recent dream theme seems to pull a lot of details from this french chapel i have been researching in my spare time. sounds like a dumb thing to do but i get bored at work sometimes! anyhow the chapel is interesting because a lot of money was put into renovating it hundreds of years ago and supposedly many secrets were found. the style in which they renovated it leads many researchers to believe the chapel now contains all these puzzles and coded hints, etc. everyone seems to have a different idea about what the secret is, but it sure is fun to try to figure it out. it's also quite a bitch to research as there's a lot of implications that paganism/the occult is involved. what people don't usually realize is that, for instance, a pentagram holds no evil or sacreligious meaning at all, at least in it's original form. the pentagram is really a tracing of the travelling of a particular planet (Venus, the morningstar) which happens to have a very geometric patern of travel. it was used as a sign for those who wanted to discuss such sciences when folk were being burned at the stake for doing so publicly. at the very least i am getting to put the latin i learned when i was younger to "good" use. it's probably a bunch of bullshit, but puzzles are for solving after all. i also dreamt something pretty disturbing about a friend's nonexistant dad and his handling of barbecue tools! really scary!

after work i have to rush over to my parents' house and have a big dinner with the extended family as it's good friday and all. blar, then again on sunday. i really need a haircut. i really can't wait till i can think straight again.
